Koča na Doliču

Description of mountain hut:
Koča na Doliču (sometimes Tržaška koča na Doliču) is located near the Dolič saddle, which lies between Kanjavec (2569 m) and Šmarjetna glava (2358 m). The hut, run by PD Gorje, is open in the summer season, but the bivouac, which stood a few metres away from the hut, has been gone since the avalanche of 2009. From the hut there is a beautiful view of the slopes of Kanjavec and the mountains rising above the Zadnjica and Trenta valleys.
The hut was badly damaged by an avalanche in early 2009, which literally broke it in two. The hut was subsequently rebuilt.
