Access to the starting point:
Drive to Rogašovce, then continue in the direction of Kuzma. After Sotina, the road towards Kuzma turns right uphill, and we continue straight towards Austria. As you drive through Austria, first follow the signs for Jennersdorf, Güssing and then to St. Michael im Burgenland, where you turn right towards Großpetersdorf. After this village, we reach the main road Sombotel / Szombathely - Oberwart / Felsőőr, and we follow it to the right in the direction of Hungary. Leave the main road at the exit for Rechnitz, and we drive to the above-mentioned place, from where we continue towards the Geschriebenstein Passhöhe. Park in the gravel parking lot on the left, west side of the pass.
Path description:
From the parking lot, first cross the main road carefully and then follow the path towards the Geschriebenstein. The path first leads past the chapel and then climbs gently along a wider path. After a while, you reach a small crossroads where the path to Lockenhaus branches off to the left, and a little further on, the path to Rechnitz. From both crossroads, continue straight ahead and within a few minutes' walk you will reach the summit, which is located on the border between Austria and Hungary.
