Vošca was yesterday a proper winter tour despite calendar spring. The track was trodden for us by three hikers with snowshoes, but apparently they benefited from the track of predecessors, which however didn't lead to the top.... Vošca with views never disappoints...

...Yesterday's outing to snowy clearings with magical spruces and beautiful vistas. Wonderful wandering in pristine nature. Snow towards Vošca is 30 cm or a bit more, but dry and light to walk on.. nasmeh

..Yesterday's Vošca - to Jureževa planina via forest road. Larches still beautiful and more of them towards Trupej. Little paths and grasses were frozen, real treat for Ira. Views gorgeous, short but fun... nasmeh

Today from Srednji vrh to Vošca. The path is trampled to the junction with the road to Jureževa planina, beautiful ski track alongside all the way. Snow up to the first pasture before the hut up to 30cm, almost powder, doesn't hinder walking. Higher up the snow amount increases, sinking to knees. On the road I meet some tourers who came from Vošca, turn right and just before Jureževa planina left up the hill, follow the ski track to planina Vošca. This didn't prove the best - here and there sinking to waist nasmeh

But the ski track is so much nicer. Therefore recommend snowshoes or of course skis. Back the same path. Temperature initially around freezing, on return below zero. Snow not yet falling from trees.

Last days on Vošca it was really wonderful. We were up there on the penultimate day of the year. And the best - tracks are surely covered by fresh snow today and winter idyll up there continues... :-)

At first daylight we started from the shelter above Srednji vrh...

During the ascent through the forest we occasionally caught glimpses of the view...

On Monday I ran on the road from Korensko sedlo past Jureževa planina further to Blekova planina. The road is fully passable. From Jureževa planina onwards recommend off-road vehicle nasmeh

Since no snow in valleys, we headed to Vošca.
Snow worth mentioning starts a bit below Jureževa planina and on the last plain before summit already less than twenty cm. More at: http://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/144441/

In the afternoon to Vošca my own way, first I thought to go to Kamnati vrh but due to snow changed my mind and went along the ridge to Vošca, lightly raining but not for long. More about conditions...
