On Friday from Prehodavci along the ridge of Lepo Špičje and descent to the 7 lakes, then to the starting point planina Blato. The path is without special features; just the markings are a bit faded, but in good weather orientation is not difficult.

Has anyone been in the Triglav Lakes valley and on Veliko Špičje? Is there snow in the valley, on the way to Prehodavci?

Winter gear not needed. Crossed from hut at double lake to Prehodavci on Tuesday. On plateaus at end of path cross snow flat and markings not visible, in fog can be a bit annoying to find hut, otherwise no problem.

I was on 23.6.2018 on Veliko Špičje. From the hut at Triglav Lakes to the summit, then along the ridge to Prehodavci, then back to the hut. All passable.

I'm curious how demanding the path over Špičje really is.
My husband and I are still rather beginners, but we have already conquered some two-thousanders: Ojstrica, Raduha, Begunjščica, Grintovec. We also climbed Triglav last year via Prag and over Kredarica.
Next week we're going to the Seven Lakes, and we thought of crossing the Špičje ridge to Prehodavci. I was warned that the path is really difficult and in places very dangerous. I'm also interested in your opinions on whether we need to gain more experience for crossing this ridge.

For crossing Špičje from the Seven Lakes to Prehodavci, count on 4 to 5 hours. The path requires concentration, is not too demanding, except that it is sunny in good weather (need to take fluids), in case of bad weather forecast better postpone to another day (path goes along the ridge for quite a while).
The path is nice - scenic, Ledvička Lake accompanies you for most of the path, and you can meet a herd of chamois, especially when looking towards the north.

14.10. Gorgeous sunny day with superb views. On Lepo Špičje met only 3 hikers, down in the valley different story - but still much less crowded than in summer.
