Those who want to learn about conditions via the forum should rather focus on photos. If the jump is pictured from below and above, that's plenty of info, I suppose.

Obviously still a bit too much snow. Gullies seem to become new via ferratas or love benches.
On 12.02 in the eastern Tosca gully in Bohinj municipality a slab avalanche carried off three alpinists, two of whom were injured. Mountain rescuers GRS Bohinj and Slovenian Army helicopter with on-duty HNMP team from Brnik intervened. Injured alpinists were transported to SB Jesenice.

Hello!
Is the path to Tosc from Rudno polje already snow-free? End of May I saw some patches from Viševnik and would like to check if anyone was there recently and can say if the snow has melted. Thanks for help

After a few years my wife and I are heading to Pokljuka and on to Ablanca and Tosc. We'd go via planina Konjščica (end of road on Pokljuka). Please provide info where to leave the car.
Is the ascent to Ablanca better marked than years ago?

The parking is opposite the barracks at Rudno polje. The path to Ablanca was never marked.

Yesterday I did the route in the opposite direction mentioned above.
There are really a couple of unpleasant meters of descent on sand to hard ground in two places, not for everyone.
Somewhere in the middle there's even a sign that the path is closed, but there's a detour made there, at least 30 m up.
As I found out, the path is under the jurisdiction of PD Srednja vas, maybe someone can check directly with them?
Also, at the junction to Uskovnica from the path Vodnikov Dom - Studorski Pass (Rudno Polje) there is no sign or any other marking.

Today from Pokljuka to Tosc. Pleasant temperatures and good visibility were the icing on the cake for the nice walk to the summit, which was heavily visited today. Path dry and without peculiarities.

According to the map and PZS data, the path is open. As far as I know, it was closed for quite some time. But what the current conditions on the path are is another question.
