Wikipedia for example says: "The regional term Trenta covers that part of the Upper Soča Valley which begins where the valley at the end of Bovec narrows into a gorge between Svinjak and Javoršček, up to the source of the Soča and the valley below Bavški Grintavec. In the narrower sense, however, it starts above the village of Soča."

Hello. How is it on Svinjak? Is there any snow or is the path passable? Nice greetings and many thanks for the answer.

ejas1234, I was last week on Rombon, the path was completely dry, no snow at all except a couple of "patches" on top. And as much as I saw, also on Svinjak there was no snow, it was completely green.

I was last Sunday on Svinjak and it is completely snow-free and passable. On return make a loop over Čelo and also check out the remains of the First World War, it's worth seeing.

It was dry yesterday and lots of leaves on the path which is annoyingly slippery, lots of foreigners rushing up in quite late hours ..took 2.30 h

In nice weather on Svinjak. From Koritnica to the top, in the upper part the path when wet probably not to be underestimated. Today there was quite some visit.

Conditions in the mountains change day by day - most pronounced in winter - but I can assume that on Svinjak they are approximately as during my ascent 10 days ago, since no serious snow since then. For that on the path (around 1500m and higher), we can expect it to be frozen, as Svinjak has a distinct southern exposure, and prepare accordingly. Of course, best to get info on today's conditions on the path.

Although it doesn't belong here, still. The "live" camera in the middle of Bovec hasn't worked for a looong time. And it's time to get it working, so we don't have to look at that spruce which is unnecessarily there among other things. And if it's a pedestrian area, cars often parked there don't belong, nor motorcycles... Also on Kanin they could take better care of cameras, clean lenses and direct them better. The one showing "nature" towards Preval would be better directed as once to the end of the ski slope at "D" station. As befits a tourist - ski center, it would make sense to add a live camera also at the start of the cable car at station "A". And the traffic police from Tolmin could work better and ticket those cars parked on Bovec streets, especially often on the road to Kanin village, and boat transporters and buses that don't belong in the town center (in front of the municipality)...

B2, if you're so demanding, you'll even wake up the responsible ones in Bovec from deep winter sleep and that on the sunny side of the Alps.
