Planina Zajamniki (Pokljuka)

Today to Zajamniki pasture from Zgornje Podjelje. We were surprised that the path wasn't trodden yet. Without snowshoes it would have been quite strenuous.
Snow on southern slopes melts quickly. The pasture was deserted in the morning. Some tracks from Pokljuka direction via Praprotnica.
Back along the road past Na Pečeh pasture and through Konjska valley.
Already a real spring day

Yesterday despite bad weather a quick trip to Pokljuka. Starting point Sport Hotel, past pension Jelka (very positively surprised by the renovation) then past Jelje pasture, then Konjska valley, pasture Na Pečeh and final goal Zajamniki. I walked on the "track" of snowshoers, which was already firm enough to go in boots. The whole way a little rain washed me, today supposedly snow above 900 m asl.

So as not to open a new topic.
Today from Podjelje to Konjska dolina pasture. Initially planned to visit Zajamniki, but on the road decided for the opposite direction towards Jelje pasture and from there back to the car.
Snowshoes obligatory. The Goreljek - Zajamniki road is trodden, but any exploration of pastures without skis or snowshoes is not possible yet.

Does anyone have info if it's possible from Rudno polje to Planina Zajamniki and Uskovnica without snowshoes. Thanks

To Praprotnica plowed, further had to snowshoe. Snow more than a meter and then it's nicest at the pasture, but still without snowshoes I don't recommend. To Uskovnica it's a nice walk.

Saturday's adventure to Zajamniki was unforgettable. A real winter fairy tale. To the junction to Uskovnica the path was nice, after the junction trodden only by 4 pairs of feet ahead of us. Snowshoes would sometimes come in handy. Super, unforgettable trip, suitable also with kids. More pics at www.matjazcorel.com

Today the main event on Pokljuka was the international biathlon competition. Well, we are heading in nice sunny and not too cold weather via Praprotnica pasture to Zajamniki pasture. To Praprotnica the path is plowed, further to Zajamniki it's well trodden.

The path is long, the pasture was wonderful in fresh snow. Nice pictures, pure winter.

This afternoon to Zajamniki pasture, path from Šport hotel is quite well trodden but with skis it's still faster

Wednesday, 13.2....Freshly sprinkled with snow, the Zajamniki pasture welcomed me. The path led me through Praprotnica. Nice old houses there. A tractor was driving on the road making tracks. I walked with snowshoes, could have gone without. But then stepping in snow is even harder. Nice pasture and great views. But wandering in sun and snow is a bit tiring.
