Nice combination tour!, but avoid Red Bull, because German and Austrian experts have found in one type small doses of drugs (heroin) - Red Bull acts mentally deceptively. For lost electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, better reach for HOT SPORT DRINK, which is a proven drink of top athletes and quality. Lp

I don't know who drinks Red Bull in the mountains anyway.
Personally I'm against various artificial drinks like HOT SPORT DRINK and others since there are countless today, all harmful to health. Should drink only water and water....

During walking and exertion with sweating we lose quite a lot of fluids, including salts, minerals, electrolytes, vitamins etc.
Water doesn't have these, so in certain stores and pharmacies you can buy a prepared product to dissolve in water for athletes during physical efforts. I use izomaratonik which has the needed stuff we lose sweating. Buy in pharmacy or herbal store.

Water sure water, but if after big efforts vitamins, minerals, salts are not put into body, water harms more than helps because it flushes the reserves we have. Especially important now when even food sometimes doesn't give enough nutrients. Hot sport drink is a drink, not cedevita or isotonic etc., but product of top study what man needs for regeneration. Top athletes take it during and after training completely harmless or beneficial.

Instead of going to bed after the night shift, I went to Peca from the mine in Topla. The path, as described, is really quite steep. At the top it was blowing VERY hard. Unlike today, almost no visitors on the path, only on the return towards home a friendly conversation partner for exchanging opinions. After a short stay and a nice talk with the hutkeeper, I returned to the starting point of today's path. Nice greeting.

First beer, they say, pharaohs brewed, named it drink of gods or kings. It cleans kidneys well, also quenches thirst.

Yesterday conquered the highest peak of Peca (Kordeževa glava). We started from Topla valley and on steep ascending path past hut straight to top via climbing route. View from top to Austria good, our side foggy. We descended normal path to hut where we had good lunch (jota with žganci and beans). Interesting, quite some people at top and hut, but on Topla path met no one ascending or descending.

I'm interested how many hours the following tour takes: Topla-Knipsovo sedlo-Bistriška špica-Peca-Knipsovo sedlo-Topla. I'm a regular mountain visitor (30 days a year) with appropriate fitness.

Geppo already knows what good beer is and it even stylishly fits into the kingdom of Zlatorognasmeh
They called beer the drink of gods, today, luckily, we can all be gods.
Its beginning goes back to Sumerian times.

If the weather holds, my friend and I are tempted by Peca or B.Špica via Knipsovo sedlo from Topla on Saturday. So I'd be glad for current conditions, if someone wanders there. Thanks.

I also plan to go from Topla over Kneps to the summit and past the hut back to Topla. Snow on top around 30-50. Hut is closed!!!

Hey Giti and Joža, unfortunately I can't tell you what the current conditions are on the Peča massif, because they can change quickly at this time. But I can recommend a tour that I did this year. If possible, organize transport to the Austrian side to the lower gondola station and take the gondola to the upper station (runs about 14 min very interesting) from upper station then easy path over Knepsovo sedlo nicely to Kordeževa glava. From there climb to little Peča on easier path (climbing paths not recommended at this time). By the way you can see King Matjaž cave, then refresh at the hut on Peča and descend to valley, order transport at Pikova hut, where you can make the end of this beautiful trip like we did. Lots of enjoyment in the beautiful view and best regards m.

Mountaineering map: Kamniško Savinjske Alpe, published by Planinska založba (PZS) in 2004, marks the saddle at 2012m where the border between Slo. and Aut. above Topla as Knipsovo sedlo. Now just the path under your feet.
