I also headed to Tromeja yesterday. Both huts were open, quite a few visitors, more especially in the afternoon. Since I was earlier, no one was yet at the top of Peč. Weather phenomenal, conditions fine, only the short path was icy, so microspikes come in quite handy.

If anyone sleds from Tromeja towards Rateče the path is very dangerous, too much would fly off the sled, path like concrete and icy here and there,...

Tromeja today...path still mostly icy. Also through the forest, on the shorter variant. At the hut warm, no wind. Although no nice views, we were all satisfied, hi Majda...

We were at Tromeja today with school kids and people with intellectual disabilities. It was a wonderful day, couldn't choose better. We started the path in Rateče, no snow towards Peč, great view at top, along path full of hepaticas and white crocuses. Sun at hut, sun everywhere. The group that went to Tamar also had fun, lots of corn snow and icy patches there. At Tromeja just enough to romp. Ended the trip at crystal Zelenci.

Too much bora, so we fled to Gorenjska, there was no trace of wind.
Since we really wished for more sunshine, our wish came true of course - that's how it is
We started in Rateče, at the end of the village turned left uphill (friendly lady who just peeked from the house recommended it, we cheered her up) Temp -17  , but my colleague says - ALL IN THE HEAD! We won't let this cold beat us
After a short path through the forest we stepped onto a wider road and walked along it for a while, then came to signs for Tromeja - short and long path, laughed heartily there and chose left up, sun shining nicely too. Path through forest gets steeper to the top here, ground quite icy, enough snow.
At the top beautiful views, hut closed though, sign with interesting inscriptions of Shri Chinmoy's peace mountain, monument to 30 years of international friendly firefighters' competition, Austrian side ski slope operating...,
For descent crampons are desirable, nice day again, in pleasant, super fun company, cheers

A real spring day today at Tromeja. The path is quite icy, some small crampons come in handy.

Today Tromeja offered nice views. The weather was nice, no wind. The shorter path was icy in some parts, the longer one poorly trodden and takes lots of energy. Best regards

Today up around 12.30. Walked up in one hour and five minutes, then views, views and easy sporty two and a half hours down. Gaiters not needed, small crampons recommended. Good luck everyone.

Yesterday I reached Tromeja again. With a friend we went up slowly in 2.5 hours, and the same down. Gaiters and crampons not mandatory, possibly recommended, but nicely trodden.
