On Monday we headed to Lokve, left the car at the end of the village and skied along the forest road first to Mala Lazna (you can drive here by car too), then further along the visible track towards Golaks. The landscape was exceptionally clear, fresh, beautiful....We reached the hut, then headed to the top, but since I donated blood in the morning, we turned back 15 minutes before the summit because I started to run low. Well, the day was nice today too and so we returned, this time drove as far as possible, then on foot again and this time to the top without issues. Lots of snow, getting heavier, but skiing through the forest was fun anyway, especially nature these days was really idyllic as seen from the photos.

Bickering or impatience is obviously really the SLO national sport . My opinion too - tourers usually use winter approaches, if not, of course summer ones. Cultured mountaineers, or groups (tourers, walkers, snowshoers) can make their own track each. Usually that's established practice. Which doesn't mean it always happens. Well, since I visited Mali Golak today let me say it's as Igor wrote...too much snow for walkers to go on ski track, they'd probably give up after a few meters. It sinks to.... But for this path it's characteristic that in winter three tracks lead to the hut...ski, snowshoe and footpath. To get to the point of my writing . Conditions on Golak are wonderfully wintery, snow from Mala Lazna to hut suitable for walking with snowshoes or skis, from Predmeja side well trodden walkers' track. All the way to the top.

No bickering without provocation and challenge. That dictate "one must not walk" raised the pressure and triggered the avalanche. Golak is the most non-skiable hill in Slovenia. Here skis are just lipstick.

Today on Mali Golak. From Predmeja plowed towards Lokve, so I got a corner of the parking spot. Friends go on the path where snow was frozen in the morning, so it holds weight, otherwise path well trodden. At top a bit windy, otherwise superb views, in short nice tour!!

Hiker asks for information on path condition (if trodden) Predmeja - Mali Golak and if it is possible to drive to parking at Tiha sports park

Today for a morning warm-up to Gradiško Turo, then with a colleague we visited Mali Golak too. On Tura it was windy, on the Golaks real winter. I got the feeling that from Predmeja this is not a very popular path. Probably the path past the hut is more crowded. Regards

Today afternoon to Mali Golak, to the last parking lot the path is dry, lots of cars there. Then soft snow starts, above the hut real winter, at the gauge -1°C. Path trodden, warm welcome in the hut, nice afternoon hike. Otherwise lots of traffic!

Comment on pic 10: I don't know exactly, but between Primorska and Matterhorn there are so many km and mountains that it is completely impossible.

Hello, that in the middle of the photo is Monte Duranno 2668m, which belongs to the Friulian Dolomites group. Left is Marmolada, further left Civetta. Right of Duranno is Cima dei Preti. Otherwise nice photo.

A few days ago nice walk to Mali Golak. Too bad only that the hut along the path is closed during the week...

The forecasts were completely wrong, we expected rain but there was none. So we quickly decided for an afternoon trip to the Golaks. Via shortcut we walked to the closed Iztok hut and further towards Golaks. Temperature was ideal, not too hot nor too cold, landscape especially in the upper part interesting and diverse, views extensive and clear.........we met some people but can count them on fingers. At the top a friendly mountaineer wrote on a stone HUT, signpost for those coming from Vojsko who don't know the path to Iztok hut. Probably he also newly arranged and marked the gentle path. Great job! On the way back it was lightly raining....so it was really pleasant.
