http://www.moj-album.com/uredi/mirko1/14471196/?os=14471488 crampons are not necessary, but recommended, especially near the hut where there is too little new snow on the frozen base. Tomorrow there will be crowds on this path, so I'll go to Golak by MTB to annoy hikers šallill lp, mirko]]>

No more snow on Small Golak. Instead it's foggy and quite windy at the top. Nevertheless I met quite a few hikers. Good luck

Today or in the last days, when it was raining in the valley, Small Golak wore a very romantic - white, fluffy garment. Beautiful views all around, peace and quiet....a hike for body and soul

This time the Trnovo Forest appeared to you in idyllic form; some photos really succeeded. LP

On Thursday 17.12. I headed to the smallest by name, but highest by elevation among the Trnovo Golaks. From Predmeja towards Lokve (past the burned terrain vehicle) to the turnoff for Golaks, where you could still drive by car to the big parking lot. From there on a well-trodden cart track and with quite some frost spiced by wind, to Iztok Hut - 20 min. Snow around there 10cm, higher up I'd say up to 20cm, but due to the gale it's quite blown off and unevenly distributed. Very windy and cold at the top - check out the white hydrangeas:-). From the hut on the marked path about 25min (if the cold presses you have to step properly). Views almost none due to clouds and fog. Nice wild trip, which can be spiced with the nearby Ledenica Cave, of course if you don't already feel that way outside:-) Grega

With friends we head to Small Golak. On the road from Predmeja to Lokve broken trees across the road. We park the car and head on foot to Iztok Hut. Overnight some new snow fell ca 5-10cm. The track is already made by our predecessors. Weather at the top foggy. -3 degrees. Sorry for the pics. Batteries failed in the camera. More next time, and best mountaineer greetings.

uh, isn't that the burned car Sledge Hummer, or whatever it's called? Seems to me they're not that cheap to just burn them.

Sledge hummer . It really looks like a hummer, damn the money to just burn them. A bit off topic, Sledge Hammer was a series at the end of the eighties, we watched it on TVSlo, if I'm not mistaken. LP!

Today the road from Predmeja to Lokve was normally drivable with winter equipment. The trees and branches that fell as victims of ice were removed, so I could park at the parking lot where the summer path starts. To the top leads a well-trodden track. Obviously Small Golak has been visited by quite a lot of people these days.

Today on the Golaks in the morning dry snow was flying around, which just nicely beautified the terrain. Summits were in quite dense fog, temperature around -6. Yesterday it seems it was quite warm, since there's quite a bit of glaze on the trees, overnight it got dressed in beautiful hoarfrost, so everything was really nice-romantic. From Small to Middle Golak someone already made footprints, which greatly eased the walking, although it wasn't exactly easy. Not much snow, but just enough reworked and on the ridges just enough crust that walking was quite difficult. Well, now it's sufficiently trampled all the way to Middle.

This time I went to Golak from Turški klanec above Lokve. With skis to Izrokova koča under Golaki, then skis on backpack, since walking on the well-packed trail was better than ascent with skis. Sunny all the way, fog and wind at the top. The beauties of nature on the path obscured the "poor summit impression".

We did the ascent to Mali Golak from Predmeja past the hut to the top. Whole way we had packed ski track, for which we are very grateful to our predecessors. Descent from top through sparse beech forest in beautiful powder to the road, then ski to the car. Beautiful day, which would really be a shame to miss. Trail for hikers is made, today many on Mali Golak, even more on Čavn, as shown by large crowd at Predmeja. LP Andrej
