Via the gully between Ledinski vrh and Velika Baba and around the bend from shady north side back to sun and to summit of Ledinski vrh. Nice ascent over the wall and even nicer sunny descent under the peaks above Ledine. Hope our already poor winter doesn't take away the current inversion/thaw so soon, with +15ºC at 1000m!

5.2.16. Very windy, lots of new snow in drifts up to 4m high. Where snow is blown off it's icy snow.

Yesterday we went to Savinjsko sedlo and Ledinski vrh. Weather wonderful, with a dash of strong wind at the saddle. Lots of snow, frozen in morning, later softens and sinks quite well. nasmeh

Yesterday from Jezersko via hunter's trail to Ledine and on to Ledinski vrh... The path to the hut is dry, further plenty of snow... goes without issue... Hut open weekends, continuously from 17.6. on...

Jezersko-Češka koča-Žrelo-Ledine-Ledinski vrh off trail and back to Jezersko over Slovenska pot.

Beautiful loop trail where you find peace, solitude and great views.

Path over Žrelo currently dangerous due to falling rocks, so Slovenska pot recommended. Snow starts under glacier, but mix snow/dry ground... We went up fully on left dry side off trail, back down on snow...

Today on Ledinski vrh. Little snow on the path and it poses no obstacle. Starting point: cargo cableway - Slovenska path to Ledine - Ledinski vrh. Today the peak was quite visited. Weather gorgeous, wonderful views. Hut on Ledine is open. Nice greetings

Yesterday I hiked above Ledine. At the parking lot I was even a bit too early. Stars gave too little light for the path so I waited for dawn. Just after six in the morning it got fully light. I always go up the secured Slovenska. A short climb on it is a real pleasure. Rock was surprisingly dry. The descent path after twelve via Lovska surprised me, for example. There rocks and cables were wet. There was a big risk of slipping. At the hut on Ledine the friendly warden greets me. We've known each other for a while - yesterday I was the first with him. After a short chat and tea I head to Jezersko saddle. I decide to go to Savinsko saddle to see how Mrzli vrh-2094 looks. I start climbing to some subpeak. There I assessed that the further path is a bit risky for me and I carefully descended. Will have to go up with my young alpinists. Then I return to Jezersko saddle and conquer Ledinski vrh. I leave neighboring Storžek for another time.

House ridge above the hut at Ledine - left are Babe - only one peak visible and right the ridge of Ledinski vrh.

Already on the way ahead. Check what this cross on the rock means at the hut on Ledine. I didn't know either.

The only cables on the path. It just looks that steep.

Here was my only rocky scramble - Mrzli vrh - 2094m.

I didn't dare to crawl right to the top. From here I descended carefully.

I descend further to the small wooden bivouac - unfortunately ruined.

I go to Ledinski vrh and look at the pointed Storžek - I'll save it for another time. I haven't been up there yet. It always tempted me to go higher.

From Ledinski vrh, both Babis are finally visible.

From my experience Lovska is often much wetter and slipperier than Slovenska. This is my favorite loop (without Mrzli vrh). Still waiting for me this year!

After long break back to mountains to check our condition we chose something easier: Ravenska kočna - Ledine Ledinski vrh - Ledine - Slovenska path - Češka hut - Ravenska kočna. Well after almost one year "break" we managed the path, almost, easily. Although we were quite unsure in the morning. After 7 years when I vacationed in Jezersko, I visited these places again and found out that not much has changed, if it has, for the worse. But nature here is wonderful, that's it.

Morning from Ravenska Kočna via Slovenska path past Kranjska hut, Jezersko saddle, Ledinski vrh, descent back to Kranjska hut and via Lovska path to start.
Weather initially cloudy, later mostly clear, wind negligible. Secures on path in good condition, some frozen snow from glacier on, but no major issues; didn't use crampons. Met only 4 hikers and 2 dogs (also hikers mežikanje

Today on Ledinski vrh. Up through Žrelo, down via Slovenska. Access to Žrelo itself is quite difficult due to heavily damaged path. Žrelo is very crumbly (helmet mandatory), and one cable is torn (extra caution). Little snow, but very hard and icy in places. Weather wonderful, morning a bit frosty, summit warm with great views. Saw no hikers. Nice greetings
