How is the path to Kredarica, has anyone been up there this weekend?

Yesterday conditions from Krma to Polje were ideal, above it tough both for "hikers" and skiers. Due to heat the snow was rotting, hikers sink knee-deep, on skis also need to consolidate every step so you're not swept downhill. Accordingly the path takes way more time than in ideal conditions. Avalanches have all slid down in my opinion.

How much time did it take you to get up? The path is apparently ski-tracked to the start in Krma.

Yes, the path in Krma is beautifully ski-tracked, and otherwise in the afternoon it turned into a stream ... it was really hot. At two or three spots with a low car you can still scrape the ground (frozen snow if early enough), otherwise mostly bare to the end. We left home due to circumstances too late and started around 8:30, which is way too late for these conditions and turned back at 13:30 at the foot of Kalvarija ... afternoon valley obligations unfortunately didn't allow continuing.

Next time continue, plenty of nice days await us, I personally can't wait to climb up there, this week we were at Viševnik, it was gorgeous, nice tour, Triglav shone in all its beauty, important that I got a bit closer to it, immediately felt better at heart, lp

That's an igloo, which isn't at Kredarica though, it's at the hut below Bogatin, don't get mad if I stuck it under Kredarica, the pic seemed interesting to me, lp

it is interesting too, just seemed strange to me because I didn't notice it anywhere on the way to Kredarica. Thanks and have a nice day.

On Tuesday a small group started arranging for skiing from Kredarica. Since departure from Krma was planned at 4am, which for us is almost "suicidal" , we decided to go up yesterday afternoon. In the end others did too, only the "initiator" and our "leader" "flew" up this morning. Descent planned shortly after 9, and that time proved optimal for skiing conditions, though some up there said it's still too early for descent. Morning sun already strong enough to soften that cm or two, so skiing was pure "11/10" . A good terrain expert led us to Zg. Krma everywhere else but the ascent path, where most ski. Don't ask me where we skied, can't describe, just know the slopes were wonderful and completely untouched, as if waiting just for us. Ended where summer path over Kurica comes up, skiing over Kurica on already quite soft snow despite early hour, from shepherd hut on "rodeo" through bushes and forest all the way to parking. Must mention exceptional friendliness of duty meteorologists at Kredarica, who really make effort for everyone coming up, can get tea and even hot meal, which before sleeping in fffffrozen rooms was very welcome. Unforgettable spring ski it was...

That view from Kredarica towards Očak 3Glav is the most beautiful if you experience it. You made the right decision to go up a day earlier and enjoy the perfect morning. Wonderful. And the weather was favorable to you. Super pics.

Gita: Perfect photographs, unfortunately I forgot the camera this time, otherwise it was really fantastic. Already the second descent in the last 5 days from Kredarica, each time via a different route to Zg. Krma. This time we descended past the toilets down the V slope under M. Triglav towards Planika, then along the released slope towards the bottom of the cirque. Followed descent on the right side of Vrh Snežne konte and then towards Konjsko sedlo. At the right spot we turned left and ended up at the top of Kurica, which we traversed in the lower part on the right side, as the entrance is completely buried by avalanche. Below Zgornja Krma shade and corresponding concrete to the forest. Still gymnastics through the forest and we left skis at the car. Descent from Triglavski dom to the shepherd's hut in Zg. Krma one fairy tale on hard, just right softened base. Highly recommend!

How good it does to the soul and eyes when viewing the wonderful photos. You brightened my day. How we unite in the mountains, maybe we'd do better if we moved at least above 1,000m a.s.l.
