Today I went from Kamniška Bistrica over Presedljaj to Konj. From Konj I then went also to Rzenik. The direct path is too overgrown, so I descended to planina Rzenik and from there continued to Rzenik. Also on this path you have to climb a few meters over scree.
From Rzenik I descended to planina Dol and from there on unmarked path to Kamniška Bistrica. This path is also a bit exposed in the upper part, on the path there are also some fixed ropes and pegs.

You can do a nice loop to Rzenik via the sawn path. You probably descended via the Martinj trail. Nice, Rok.

I also climbed today over Presedljaj saddle to Konj. The path is well marked, maybe a bit boring to the saddle, but still nice. From the saddle onwards I put on my helmet and soon had a great feeling, as I watched a chamois on Kranjski Dedec propelling stones into the valley. The protections are in good condition (I think one cable is torn or gone). For the ascent along the ridge I recommend a helmet, a self-belay kit is almost not applicable. Not for the vertigo-prone! Short climbing, but sweet path. LP Andrej

Hello!
Due to conditions on Skuta and surroundings, I'll rather climb to Konj over Presedljaj and then towards Vel. Planina.
Last Wednesday from Kamniški vrh I reached the top of Konj, which wasn't snowed in. Probably still like that, if someone was nearby recently, please info!!

Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone knows what the path from Kamniška Bela to Presedljaj and on to Konj and then return to Planina Dol is like?
How much snow - is it trodden, how demanding is the path in winter?

I don't know snow conditions now, but on 9.1. I went from Kopišče to Planina Dol. 10 cm powder on 40 cm hard snow. Crampons and ice axe mandatory. Otherwise in winter some discourage ridge between Presedljaj and Konj, where summer self-protection recommended and not for vertigo sufferers. Better to Konj from Kopišče or Velika planina and back same way.

Two years ago to Konj in December (Kam. bistrica-presedljaj-konj route). Strongly discourage this route in winter, path not visible nor protections, high slip risk into abyss. Then 30 cm snow, now even worse conditions.

I think this debate is a bit off - for current visit. Huge snow in mountains - avalanche danger 4 everywhere - no debate. To mountains - or lower planina - Vel. Planina, foothills. This path by planina Dol potentially avalanche dangerous - but only summer there. Ridge path ... (Krvavec 3m snow, Vel. Planina 2m, Zelenica almost 5m - expect near 3m on Konj - thaw sinks to ass).
Otherwise nice pics Medo - but wait more for visit.

Today from Kamniška Bistrica over Presedljaj to Konj and on to Planina Dol back to Kamniška Bistrica. Weather wonderful ideal for hills, only noise of three army helicopters disturbed, apparently training. Tour conditioning to top bit adrenaline but not too much, one peg holding chain pulled out but position no issue, others ok. Really nice tour recommend, not best for dizzy. Enjoy.

Yesterday I was on Kamniški Dedec. As far as I saw, there is no snow on Presedljaj and then towards Konj. Of course I don't know how it is on the shady side. If I manage, I'll attach a photo.

Today I went from Kopišče to Planina Dol and further to Konj. The path is completely dry except some snow patches in the last part of the path, the summit is also dry. Weather was wonderful, view too

Can you tell me more precisely where you started? Because we are going on Saturday and want to start before Bela in the direction of Presedljaj and don't know if there is still snow on that path. We don't want to get into snow as we have no snow gear. Thanks in advance. lp

From parking at Ušivec (9.00) via Velika planina, planina Dol to Konj (13.30). Return via Velika planina (16.45).
Weather wonderful, some twenty visitors, views from Konj...
