Trango tech are fine in winter. For the others don't know, but probably no essential difference.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try both, and see which one fits me better.

Hello, I'm interested if Salomon gtx 3d are suitable for Triglav, or is it better to buy something else?

Hello. I bought La Sportiva STREAM GTX SURROUND shoes, but can't find data on what to treat them with. Can it be the same spray as for older leather shoes?

Hello, I'm interested in your experience with Proalp mountaineering (hiking) footwear - Kanin model. In late spring I bought La Sportiva mountaineering shoes, but I messed up the size. During testing size 42.5 fit like a glove (with medium-thick socks), during summer heel blisters disappeared only on shorter hikes (up to 4h), but on descents my left big toe kept banging into the shoe more and more. Result of long tours (6h+) is almost lost nail on left big toe and right isn't optimal either. Anyway... wife took the shoes, she's excited after a few hikes, even though her foot size is 41. I don't dare risk the same shoes again, even a larger size. And I'm thinking about a custom last that Proalp offers. Base is Kanin model. Opinions?! Best regards all

The shoes were "like a glove", that means they were too small in front, buy half a size larger and downwards it won't be a problem (of course the laces have to do their job too). Best, j. Why change if you're otherwise satisfied with the model.

I have no data on Salewa, but the saleswoman in Alpina advised against the Lina model for my partner herself. When she tried the new Lina model on her foot, it was clear. Best regards.

Salewa fits me, I can go on a full-day tour with newly bought ones, no blisters. True, I use the higher model, so over the ankle. They are light and comfy, probably depends on the person - let her try and walk around a bit in them, she'll see. For me top. True they wear out in about a year, because in summer I wear them a lot in high mountains, so I change them every year.

@Trobec: Let her check Sportiva Hyper or TX4 w's too. Looks similar, if it fits her foot better.

I'm very satisfied with Hyper from La Sportiva myself, have them for over a year, sister bought them last month too. Before I had Mammut Redburn and think I found good replacement.

Hello, I'm interested if someone can give me some advice on hiking footwear Namely, I've been looking at various brands and models for a while and narrowed the choice to 3 models: 1. Alpina Iris 2. Planika Lady Air Tex 3. Meindl Revolution Lady Vento. Currently wearing Planika, but inherited shoes probably 15+ years old, but extremely comfy (98% footwear rubs my heel badly first few times), heard lots of negative opinions about Alpina, that quality far from what it was a few years ago, no experience with Meindl - when tried seemed ok. Any advice? Need for one-day tours.

Whatever you choose now won't be 15+ anymore, forget that. I switched from Alpine to Meindl a few years ago and I'm still wearing them because of the suitable last and that's it. But the lifespan from the air revolution 2.0 model to jorasse has dropped to only 30% of the previous

I'm extremely satisfied with Planika boots, I don't have Air Tex though, but their boots are very comfortable for me.
