Today on western ridge of Storžič. First time I noticed it, really nice experience. It lasted several minutes, seen at multiple spots. Could watch it and photograph it.

miri, you say you saw upside-down rainbow? This phenomenon is called "smile in the sky" and rarely seen, because it appears high above us. Unlike rainbow it's not light refraction on water droplets, but through horizontally oriented ice crystals in clouds (mainly cirrus).. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumzenithal_arc

@miri .... if you know what phenomenon it is and its name, just explain. As far as I'm concerned I see rainbows mostly below, occasionally above too. They always have mist as base for them and I call that glory
