Hi!
Given that today (Thursday 16.10) it rained in the lowlands and probably snowed in the high mountains, expect quite demanding conditions. That means very slippery, probably snow patches in places.

Does anyone know what happened today on Velika Baba at Jezersko. I took this picture on the descent from the Czech Hut. It looks like some kind of rescue. The helicopter hovered over that area for quite a while

At 11:40 a climber was injured in the central wall of Velika Baba above Jezersko. Rescuers from Jezersko GRS Station and the Slovenian Army helicopter for mountain rescue were activated. The injured woman with a shoulder injury was hoisted into the helicopter by winch and transported to Jesenice General Hospital.

Through Žrelo nothing special, fixed protections in excellent condition. But the path is quite full of scree, so I recommend caution and helmet.

I'm interested in the latest condition through Žrelo between Czech Hut and Ledine. Last I heard it was in poor condition.

Well I went through Žrelo on 19.9 and as far as I could tell, everything is very well protected. Only one peg in the lower part has loosened and the rope hangs freely. But you can easily go around it. So for me it was all very ok.

Condition in Žrelo 24.09.2011: except for one peg, it is in the best order. Helmet mandatory.

On Sunday 13.11.2011 I was at the Czech Hut, unfortunately closed. From there through Žrelo to Kranjska Hut on Ledine. Path nice, pegs hold, no snow, some parts a bit frozen.
Surprised there is no stamp at Kranjska Hut. Searched the whole area (winter room too), no stamp. Does anyone know where to get this hut's stamp?
Descent via Slovenska is really adrenaline-packed, path well secured here too.

Yesterday we did this route. Path nice, no snow - only a little snow before the gully to cross carefully. Weather wonderful. Path quite demanding, well secured. The kids did it without problems. Down via Slovenian path, also climbing-like and well secured. Go slow and carefully, not for the dizzy. We had a great time.

Today in the direction Czech Hut - Kranjska Hut via Žrelo. Before the gully, cross approx. 10 m + 30 m snow, caution needed, some used crampons. Then worth mentioning the unremedied landslide on the lower part of Žrelo, which covered several meters of cable, but no major issues there. Here and there loose cables, somewhere I saw a cable torn and tied back manually  . Maybe it would be sensible to inspect and renew the path.

Žrelo currently not for use (recommendation for regular hikers), because many pegs damaged-broken and still quite a lot or too much snow. Without special gear and skills don't attempt it!

Hi Branee, attaching pic from Hunters path to Ledine, this path dry to hut and looks like path to Czech Hut also dry from my hike to V.Babo, best regards
