Yes nice and interesting and also excellently marked path between Boč and Donačka gora via Plešivec. Only, if I'm not mistaken, on the photos it's the subsidiary church of St. Mary of Loreto - Ložno, which really belongs to the parish of St. Florian near Boč. Best

hello! we were on Boč, were on Donačka, now we're interested where to park the car and which path to take for the whole Boč/Donačka tour, or reverse, if coming from Kozjansko/bizeljska direction?

Best to have two cars, leave one at Rudi's hut, the other at the Boč hut or below Boč in Poljčane. We left one car at Kupčinji vrh near Stoperci, drove with the other to Poljčane and started there, then took the first car to pick up the one in Poljčane. Recommend Boč/Donačka tour.

Yeah for Bizeljsko or Kozjansko during the week there's quite good connection from the place or train station Imeno near Podčetrtek where you'd leave the car and extend by train via Grobelno to Poljčane, specifically - two options: Imeno 05:57......Poljčane 06:56 and Imeno 06:40......Poljčane 07:57 with change and short wait in Grobelno and excellent return afternoon via Rogatec, which is very ideal for descent from Donačka gora - reachable in good hour from mountain hut. Rogatec 16:42........17:31 Imeno with change at Stranje pri Šmarju station. These would be very ideal connections and quite eco since no car drive from one to the other point as stankoju wrote, because fatigue will play a role at the end. Weekend Sat and Sun unfortunately especially for Kozjansko best done with cars, because connections are much worse. Mandatory check current SŽ timetable, because my info is just informative!? SŽ Timetable For the Boč-Donačka gora path mainly need to decide if it goes to both summits or just between huts or some other combo -one summit - both huts.... Path is anyway excellently marked with blazes and signs. And happy hiking! Regards bruny

I'm thinking about a tour from Rudi's hut to Boč, interested in the condition of markings and orientation, and how attractive the trail is? Any info and advice welcome. LP www.planinarenje.tk

The condition of markings on the path to Boč is very good and orientation is easy too. The path is regularly visited and of course overall sufficiently attractive. Personally, the nicest part is somewhere between Strmec pass and Ložni and Ravnocerje plateau over Plešivec to Gavez farm. Just on this forum there are hundreds of photos by various authors and some descriptions but everyone who does the activity forms their own opinion and view on the path and this world. Just happily on the way, which is especially interesting now when nature colors into more autumn shades. Regards

(mala paklenica) Path from Rudi's hut to Boč is very good and interesting. One way is 17.6 km. At medium pace it takes about 4h30min to 5h one way. Otherwise it's an interesting fitness tour. You can see more when you type in Google Boč - Rudijev dom na Donački pod on the page www.pespoti.si Nice regards.

@felix I can give you some advice, as I've hiked this path twice this year. Just, the first time my husband and I got lost, but still reached the goal. Start in Podbočju and along the ridge to Boč. If you don't want to descend to the hut, from the tower continue along the ridge down, the path is trodden and you'll reach the marked path that leads from the hut along the road, there are markings, but you have to be careful not to miss a junction near the hunting hut, you have to go past the hut, we turned left instead of right, there should be a marking in my opinion, because the one on the tree misleads you and you go down into the forest. Otherwise the path is marked, but rather poorly, because markings are not frequent, so you have to follow well at least those rare ones. I remember there's a sign under a tree that we didn't even notice on the first tour. So I wouldn't agree with the previous one that the path is well marked. If it's snowy, which it already is, it's a bit harder, of course, if you know the path like we do now, no problem. The path is 24 km long and quite some elevation gain if you conquer both peaks. Regards!

The path is not poorly marked but excellently, definitely very well even for very picky ones... Easily followable as it's much more visited in recent years - the trend of fast hikers and mountain runners shows. Just over a year ago, several newest mountain signposts were also installed. The markers do exemplary work along the entire route. The group will probably be larger, so the question is why force through unmarked ridge paths to the top and from Boč summit. I recommend Detičkova and Strma to the top, then down Senčna to the former refreshment Drevenik, where you switch to the Štajerska bratska pot anyway... and nicely to Donačka gora. Very interesting is also the addition to Izvir Sotle with descent to Dobovec along the "young Sotla", but that's additional 15 km. Straight and safe steps I wish you, whichever route you choose will be yours. Regards!
