ursa2212, path to Kališče from Mač well trodden, further to Bašelj Peak quite difficult walking in deep footprints.

Today there were no footprints except the first 30m from the hut...further only snowdrifts and windblown snow.
We soon realized that the mission would be impossible before work...and also very cold and windy "ornk" winter conditions. Every third step was sinking to the butt, in between to the knees...I don't remember so much snow at the beginning of December

The parking lot is arranged and without issues, but it is true that it was very full today...

After many years from Mač to Kališče. Path nicely routed, dry, except last part some ice, better use crampons. Given over 900 ascents, bit surprised by 1:30 mark...sure for young hikers ok, for average probably not. Short stop at hut and on to Bašelj Peak, first time, beautiful. Snow-covered but not frozen, path well trodden. Views super, left Storžič, right Mali Grintovec, Krvavec. On summit also view to Košuta, Obir. Descent to valley, teloh already nicely blooming. Total 1,200 ascents, 16 km. Good hike, good group...

From there where your first pic was taken, no more 900 ascents to Kališče, so time on sign quite appropriate.

Regarding times, I've learned that there's no sense in looking at these timetables, since quite often on the signs the entries are really ridiculous, ...
From the last jaunt around Lisca, timetables on signs, no comment, maybe someone was dreaming while writing them ...

To Kališče a real shower from the trees, to Bašelj Saddle baking hot ...
From the saddle to Bašelj Peak, sun slowly clouded over. Moments on the bench outweigh everything.
Descent to Suha Valley.
All nice.

Mače - Kališče - Bašelj Peak
Up to Kališče packed snow, suitable for crampons, then snow already deeper, but super trodden, fantastic weather.
Last ridge (10 meters) a bit more carefully, but good track allows safe passage.

Today summer in winter.
From Mače via Kozjek then towards Suha Valley. Attempt via upper part of valley to Mačenski Saddle failed due to more snow than anticipated, non-existent track and unsuitable gear for mentioned combination.
So further via Kališče (hut was open) and then back on classic marked path.
Day perfect, mists beaten by 10 min.
