Access to the starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana - Koper motorway, take the Brezovica exit and then continue along the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. After 6. 5 km from the town, when you reach the old road, turn right onto the local road. After a few metres, you reach a crossroads, where you turn left along the road, which continues along the edge of the forest. Here you will soon see a small space on the right where you can leave your car.
b) From the Koper - Ljubljana motorway, take the Vrhnika exit and then continue along the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 6. 5 km from where we left the old road, turn left onto the local road. After a few metres, you reach a crossroads, where you turn left along the road, which continues along the edge of the forest. You will soon see a small area on the right where you can leave your car.
Path description:
From the road along which we have parked, a marked cart track branches off to the right, which first climbs parallel to the road, then turns right and, after a few metres of further walking, leads us to a place where the signposts direct us to the right on a steep footpath. Continue climbing in the opposite direction to the Cankarjeva cesta - CP (the Cankarjeva cesta starts at Cankarjev vrh - Rožnik and ends at Vrhnika).
The initially steep path quickly descends and then joins one of the many cart tracks. As the way ahead is interspersed with numerous paths and cart tracks, follow the markings carefully, and they will lead you higher up to a macadam road, which you will quickly climb under the meadows of the Ferjanka homestead. Here the road turns left and gradually turns into a wide track. When the path descends for a few metres, the path from Dragomer joins us from the right, and we continue straight ahead, following the occasional slightly steeper path. Higher up, the path to Debele hill branches off to the right, and here we continue straight on, arriving at the forested summit of Strmce after a minute's further walking.
