Krvavi kamen - Trdinov vrh

Access to the starting point:
From Novo Mesto or Otočec we drive to the village of Velike Brusnice. Continue along the road towards the village of Gabrje. When the road almost leads us into the village, we come to a crossroads where we continue to the left (right Gabrje centre). The road then leads us past the church and on towards Gorjance. Follow the road to the crossroads where the road to Miklavž branches off to the left, the road to Gospodični to the right and the border forest road straight ahead. Near this junction, park in the roadside parking lot.
From Metlika drive towards Novo Mesto, but only as far as the Vahta Pass. Turn right here and follow the forest road for about 11 km to a crossroads where the road to Gabrje branches off to the left, straight on to Miklavž and right to the border forest road. Near this junction, park in the roadside parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road towards Trdinov Hill. After a few dozen metres of walking, a footpath branches off to the right (in front of the cottage you can see by the road) across the meadow and into the forest. The path is at first steep but soon begins to climb moderately. After a few minutes' walk, you join the path coming from St Nicholas. The path then climbs for some time on the cart track, which soon turns into a footpath. It starts to climb steeply through the Gorjanci primeval forest. The path then leads out of the forest onto a forest road with the state border alongside. Continue straight past the transmitter and past the chapel to the top, where you will see a viewing platform.
