The rich snowdrops or luștele - Leucojum vernum are found in the Șureanu Massif, in Poiana Vârtoapelor. Car access is to the village of Grădiștea de Munte, in the area of the Dacian fortresses. From here one can hike for 2 hours on several paths to the rich snowdrops at Vârtoape.
