From Casasola to Forcella del Muntrin

From Casasola, at the end of the village is our starting point, 430m, here begins trail 973 heading towards the ridges. We don't stay long on the marked groove, from a small chapel a bit higher we venture into the unknown to the right following a faint trace, leading to Rugo dei Martellins, a mostly rocky channel that must be climbed staying on its right edge. The semblance of trail climbs quite steeply, fairly recognizable also because there are no alternatives. At the top we exit towards east, south precipices and north beech forest. We continue towards our goal, the Moltrin saddle. We regain marker 973 and following the signs descend with countless turns into the homonymous gorge that brings us back to the starting point. What to say, despite the low altitudes the environment is very wild and one must know how to maneuver a bit with the usual mountaineering logic.
