When I last climbed Mangart, a passerby gave me the idea that I could also scramble up to Krn. Until now the path wasn't known to me, so I set off to explore. Even here in the mountains there was little written about the path itself (compared to others). Well, after researching I set out on Saturday... to test it live. Early start (for me) in the morning in Drežnica. Then onwards through the forest, past the pasture, further into the forest to the bivouac at Črnik, from there soon into the wall. Into another fantastic wall. Steepness all the time doesn't let up at all, below majestic precipices. Protections, where they are, in excellent condition, where there aren't any, there aren't. On steep grasses maybe somewhere wouldn't be amiss, maybe that's exactly what gives this path special charm. Since north side, good part of the path in shade, downside was that grasses still quite wet in places and consequently dangerous for slipping. You climb literally to the shelter. And then a hop to the summit. On that Saturday, when there were processions everywhere again, there were a total of maybe 6 or 7 of us in the wall. Pure bliss.

This morning from Dolga Njiva via the western path to the saddle under the Turn. Then left to Ostrv and on to Macesje, and back the same way to the saddle, then also to Košutnikov Turn and down the eastern path back to the pasture. The day again offered phenomenal weather, Košuta with views. Fixed protections on Ostrv almost flawless, none elsewhere. On the Turn, wallcreeper chirping as it hasn't been there for a long time. I'd stay right there. Today really. Away from everything...

My question wasn't about how many huts there are on Pohorje, but whether the water in them is drinkable.. We often come across signs that the water is not drinkable.

Hello, how is it with drinking water on the SPP trail at this time, is it drinkable in the huts?

/Police warn of great danger in the mountains and extremely and very unreasonable risk that individual, more or less experienced, hikers accept these days with movement in high mountains. Therefore they advise: "Don't risk, wait for better conditions, because current ones are far from that."/

But there will always be individuals... this portal is living proof...

First look at the post of Kranj Police Administration.. maybe then you will understand.

If there's anything offensive here, it's LG's behavior, who like a mockery to all rescuers pushed up in such conditions...

It's been a long time since there was a post on this topic... We hiked the trail on Saturday with girlfriends. Part of the trail was really muddy. Locals along the trail took care that we weren't hungry or thirsty, and the day passed mainly with many interesting debates. mežikanje Personally I think it's worth experiencing it all once, that's it... mežikanje
