Hello! Anyone who decides to climb to Krvavica through the Window in these days will encounter fallen spruces across the path a few hundred meters after the start of the ascent (result of Friday's storm). You can get over them, just need to climb a little. PD Tabor is informed about the mentioned obstacle on the path and I hope it will be removed soon. Best regards Matevž.

Hello! I'm interested if maybe someone has already gone from Srednja vas to Rudno polje past the Ribnica waterfalls. Does this path even exist? It's marked on the map (najdi.si), but judging by the map I doubt its existence (I have bad experiences with this, as sometimes for remote areas it turns out they draw the path arbitrarily) I'll be grateful to all good experts of this area for any information. Good luck!

Hi! I'd do it like this: Train to Trbovlje, ascent via Čebulova valley to Kum, descent towards Zidani Most, visit Nebeška gora and to Radeče. Markings are fine. If going through Škratova valley you reach Sava at cicka, cross Sava with it and train in Zidani Most. Or along right bank of Sava to Radeče. Then about 2 km asphalt flat. If alone, with cicka across Sava at end need to pull yourself to other bank which takes some arm strength. LP

Bojan, thanks for the explanation. To me personally, "at first glance" this seemed strange, since (as I heard) the African plate is subducting under the Eurasian and by that logic the Alps should be rising. But, that's just my layman's opinion. LP

You are right. You were sitting under the tree chatting with a colleague when I puffed to the top. Hope we meet again soon. Regards Matevž.

To a good observer and photographer motifs never run out. Bravo, Mr. Bobnar. Keep it up. Regards from Trbovlje.

My personal layman's opinion based on what I've seen: NO with a dog over Komarča. Except breeds that you can put in a backpack. LP

Grega, with "collapse" I didn't mean permanently collapse or die, but I'd have the problems I mentioned in the same sentence. Maybe I expressed myself inappropriately. LP.

Kleemen, definitely our body needs water, but within normal limits. If I drank 2-3 l/day and didn't sweat them out, I'd get such cramps and diarrhea that I'd probably just collapse. We have to consider that water is also in food. Well, as they say 100 people 100 wonders, so I won't judge anyone. If you like it and have no problems keep going. LP.

On 3.9.2011 my colleague and I set off from Krma past Planika to Triglav and back on a very hot Saturday around 5am. On the way I drank 1.25l of plain water with magnesium effervescent tabs, ate one small apple and a banana. The whole way despite scorching sun, especially on Konjsko sedlo-Planika section, I enjoyed, no cramps or headaches just the sun slightly burned me. We managed the route in 7 hours 15 min, 4h45 ascent and 2.5h descent. So I also don't see sense in unnecessary pouring of liquid and definitely join user SamoK's thinking that our body in evolution era was forced to adapt to many things and is really tougher than we think. A lot is in the head too. If something has to be done, it gets done with less means too. People have different values, which is fine. And don't take this post as boasting, posted it just for comparison. I'm not an athlete, recreationally I do more aerobic disciplines (running, cycling, swimming,...). Take care.

Guys, keep calm. Everyone do as they like. I for example have a 3/4 liter bottle tucked in the net on each side of the backpack and I'm used to reaching for the bottle without taking off the backpack, drink and put it back. A buddy made himself a tube, mouthpiece and stopper for drinking and I could list more. Everyone is the blacksmith of their own happiness and manages as much as their inventiveness and imagination allow. The important thing is to enjoy, because a lot is also in our heads regarding how much needs to be drunk. Well, greetings to all. Take care.

Oops, forgot the third possible factor contributing to photo quality, namely the photographer. Hope I didn't offend anyone. LP

Pantani1, pictures clear as a tear. Very nice. Due to the camera or was the air so clean? LP.

Tinky, have you fallen ill or run out of ideas for photos? It's kinda strange to me when there are no more daily reports from Šmarna Gora. I miss them. And this ain't joking or sarcasm, so no misguided Slovene thinks that way by chance. Regards

Julius, maybe taken from the path to Sleme (that one above Vršič)?
