Hello! I'm interested if maybe someone has already gone from Srednja vas to Rudno polje past the Ribnica waterfalls. Does this path even exist? It's marked on the map (najdi.si), but judging by the map I doubt its existence (I have bad experiences with this, as sometimes for remote areas it turns out they draw the path arbitrarily) I'll be grateful to all good experts of this area for any information. Good luck!

I haven't heard of anyone going from Srednja vas to Rudno polje past the Ribnica waterfalls, or rather I don't know any. But I know Srednja vas and the immediate surroundings well. Rudnica is considered the largest Pokljuka stream. In the headwaters its flow is only intermittent, then it enters a gorge around 2 km long, up to 50 m deep and sometimes only half a meter wide, which we can't admire without special equipment and skill. At the end of the gorge we can admire the 11 and 15 m high Upper and Lower Ribnica Waterfalls in the gully north of Srednja vas. This is the description given by the booklet -Gore na dlani-Triglav National Park. A couple of years ago I walked to the viewpoint of the first waterfall. This spring I wanted to repeat it and was quite surprised that a large landslide had completely buried the whole gully soon after the intake and it was impossible to go further. Good that it didn't dam the stream. Trees, rocks, everything lying everywhere. I don't know if it's been cleared now. Worth asking the Srednja vas tourist association. To Rudno polje you can get via the mountain road that leads to Planina Uskovnica from Srednja vas. After the planina continue to Rudno polje. There is also a path from the village to Uskovnica, just don't know if it's marked.
