Is it possible to cross towards Hribarci and further towards Kanjavec or is it snowy?

Yesterday I went-walked Kotnik's footpath. After three years again. Path changed on certain sections and runs on new route. It's nice and very poorly marked. So on certain new parts I walked by intuition, even a bit my own way, since markings, except info boards at points, practically none and you can easily get lost and no longer find the info boards at points.

Exactly as garmont wrote. We too today with the car from Jelendol to Planina Pungart and further across planina Šija to Kofce. The road is worst in the initial part, where I first thought I missed and was driving on some unmaintained forest road. Further on a bit better, but at certain spots quite deep potholes. So with a low car it's hard to get up...

I think not yet, especially the last part before the ascent to the summit, it could still be very avalanche-prone.

They say Košuta with its 14 km long ridge is probably the longest Slovenian mountain. Given that on the ridge you climb and cross as many as 11 peaks over 2000 meters, it could be true. So on 13.9.2022 I crossed the following 10 two-thousanders: Veliki vrh, Toplar, Kofce gora, Malo kladivo, Kladivo, Pungartska gora, Tegoška Gora, Užnik, Macesje, Ostrv, Košutnikov turn, and below the ridge Gamsovk, descended to Zg. and Sp. Dolga njiva alpine pasture, crossed Tegoška planina and after 10 hours, 27 km walk returned to the start at Planina Pungart, where I left the car in the morning. The path is beautiful, but long and strenuous, in the second part also technically somewhat more demanding, and without emergency exits.

That means in principle there should still be space for cars there until 6/7 am? But it's true that this and next weekend will be busy with nice weather.

How is the current occupancy of the parking lot in Vrata? Asking for Saturdays or weekends and how is parking in Mojstrana and then bus ride to Vrata on weekends. Is the bus full or is there space? Asking for morning hours, around 6, 7 or 8.
Also interested if you can park in Vrata at that time or if there's no option anymore in those hours?

To Viševnik or high mountains no way with mini crampons.

Nice path congrats. I also plan to hike it in the future, but I'd go the whole ridge further from K. turn. But in the opposite direction. Do you have any info what the path is like before K turn or from your side further from it?
