Last weekend after last ski we went for afternoon hike on Golte. Started at Hotel Golte, where friendly reception staff gave us basic info and handy trail map. Chose slightly shorter path from Hotel Golte via Medvednjak, Treh plotov, Starih Stanov, past karst sinkhole to alpine garden and Mozirska koča back to hotel. Enjoyed peace, nice sunny weather and admired plateaus full of spring flowers. Trail highly recommended for family outings.

If you're thinking about energy drinks and gels to get to Triglav, I recommend that you hike for some more time and build up fitness in some less crowded place. After that, for Triglav, bread and a banana or some stew in the hut will be enough, and the satisfaction will be greater too. Regards

On Saturday we visited Roblek and then Begunjščica. The path is mostly snow-free but wet, some snow in places melting very fast. Caution never hurts but I think no problems. I wish you a nice sunny path.

Yesterday we spent a beautiful Sunday on Kofce and Veliki vrh. Besides friendly and good service, the meadows higher behind the hut are worth mentioning as they are literally covered in crocuses. Spring has come to Kofce but as Viharnik mentioned the path to V. vrh still requires much caution. If we do not choose the higher path along the edge, it is necessary to cross the grassy slope. Caution is also not superfluous on sections of the path without snow as they are very soggy. When walking, the ground sinks and slips off the path. So be careful and much enjoyment on the path to all who are heading there in the coming days.

Hello.. interested in conditions on path to Stol and of course if Vodnik and Prešeren huts (already) open?

I'm average.. honestly "weekend hiker". One of those who hasn't stood on Triglav yet but surely that wish is buzzing in my head. Interested in the most suitable or "easiest route" to Triglav, which I plan to do in summer or early autumn days.. Thanks!
