Description:
Saxalmwand is 2635 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 2 km west-northwest of peak Kraxentrager - La Gerla. The nearest mountain hut is Europahütte - Rifugio Europa, located 2km south-southeast. A little further is Pirstlingalm. 5 km east from the summit there is glacier Stampflkees, 8 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Olpererferner. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Vals.
