The nearest mountain hut is Europahütte - Rifugio Europa, located 1.4km south. Pirstlingalm is also relatively close. 5 km east from the saddle there is glacier Stampflkees, 7 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Unterschrammachkees. North of the saddle is the valley Vals.
