Description of mountain:
Serles is one of the most recognizable, admired, and visited peaks around Innsbruck. This three-headed pyramidal mountain, together with Hafelekar (or the Nordkette ridge) and Patscherkofel, forms the trio of Innsbruck's panoramic mountains that crucially enhance the city's distinctive skyline and are accessible to broader crowds. Serles is also one of the points on the "7 Peaks of Stubai" circuit.
A somewhat isolated mountain of attractive pyramidal shape bears the nickname "high altar of Tyrol," about which numerous literati have written—including Goethe, the author of the nickname—and many visual artists have drawn inspiration. Serles saw its first official ascent as early as 1579.
The summit is quite spacious and offers stunning views over Innsbruck with the Nordkette, Zillertal Alps, and Stubai Alps.
