Description:
Rotalpe is 2852 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 7 km north-northwest from the center of Pfunders - Fundres and 7 km east-southeast from the center of St. Jakob - San Giacomo. The nearest mountain hut is Hochfeilerhütte, located 2km northeast. A bit closer is Walter-Brenninger-Biwak, which is located 1.3km to the south-southeast. 4 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Gliederferner - Ghiacciaio del Gran Pilastro, 4 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Weißkarferner - Vedretta della Quaira Bianca. The peak is located southeast of the valley Pfitscher Tal - Val di Vizze.
