Monte Ioànaz is 1169 meter high peak with a registration box located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located 2 km west-northwest from the center of Calla / Kau and 2 km west-southwest from the center of Montefosca / Čàrni Vàrh. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Alpino Guglielmo Pelizzo, located 9km east. Closer is bivouac Ricovero Casera Monte Mia, which is located 5km to the northeast. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Krnica and a marked path leads to the top.
