Monte Mia / Mija

Description of mountain:
Mija (Monte Mia) is a 1237-meter-high peak above the Nadiža River valley. The forested summit lies on the Italian side of the border, while its northern slopes are in Slovenia. From a viewpoint near the summit, there is a fine view mainly southwards, with a clear sight of the Nadiža valley and Matajur. On the wooded summit is a large cairn; at the viewpoint, accessible via a marked path, there is a summit name sign, a panorama board, and a small cross.
