Col di Gai is 1685 meter high peak located in the Carnic Alps mountain range. The peak is located 0.9 km north-northwest of peak Monte Toc. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Casera Ditta, located 3km east-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Ricovero Casera Vasei, which is located 0.4km to the northeast. 4 km northeast of the peak there is lake Lago del Vajont. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Valle Chialedina.
