The Bistrica, with its spring Pod Luknjo, is the most powerful tributary of the Sava Bohinjka. The stream flowing through Bohinjska Bistrica gets its water from the Lower Bohinj Mountains.
The spring of the Bistrica fills the water supply for Bohinjska Bistrica with its crystal clear water.
