Chapel of St. Barbara on Pejce

Description of church:
Chapel of St. Barbara on Pejce is one (upper) of the two chapels that stand along the old iron-ore route that centuries ago transported iron ore down to the valley to Jesenicee. From the path near the upper chapel, you can get some views of the town in the valley, and towards Mali Mežakla. Once upon a time, the church of St. Barbara stod on Plavž (west of Jesenice), but it was demolished at the end of the 18th century. Today, two chapels on the path through Pejce are dedicated to her.
