Chapel on Molička planina

Description of mountain hut:
The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius stands on the mountain pasture hill at a height of 1780 metres. It was built in 1898 and at the time of its construction was the highest chapel in the area of present-day Slovenia. It was destroyed by a mysterious avalanche in the 1950s and rebuilt in 1989. A few metres below the chapel is Kocbek's shelter under Ojstica, Slovenia's first mountain hut in the Savinja Alps and the second in Slovenia. It was built in 1894 and rebuilt in 1999. The shelter is open from time to time and offers basic items such as coffee, tea, etc. From mountain pasture there is also a very nice view of the nearby peaks above mountain pasture and of Krofička and Robanov Kot.
