Access to the starting point:
Exit the Styria motorway at the exit for Slovenske Konjice, then follow the signs for Zreče. When you arrive in Zreče, follow the signs for the cemetery. Park at the beginning of the large parking lot in front of the cemetery.
Path description:
From the parking lot, go back along the road for 10 m, then turn right onto a side road towards Srčko's Learning Path and Ančka. Follow the slightly narrower tarmac road uphill, and before the nearby house, turn slightly right onto a marked footpath that leads across the meadow and higher up along the edge of the wood. A little further on, we climb gently through the lane of the forest, and when we leave the forest we have a nice view of Golek.
From here, there is a short descent and we are at the Ančka Excursion Farm.
To the right of the farm you reach a parking area, which leads down to a crossroads some 10 steps away, where you go left (to the right is the second path to Zreče) towards a nearby house, which you pass on the right. Continue for a short distance along cart track, and at the mountain direction sign for Golek, turn right onto a footpath which climbs gently to moderately. Follow the signs at a few crossroads, then reach a dirt road which leads to a pasture where you join up with another marked trail from Zreče.
Continue right on the marked footpath, which climbs crosswise through the forest. A little further on, return to the road and follow it to the right, then walk along it to the nearby game preserve. Before the barn, turn right and continue your ascent along the marked path, which leads you higher up along the edge of the hayfields, from which you will have a beautiful view of Donački Gora, Boč and Konjiški Gora. Here the path goes right into the forest, and then after a few minutes of further walking leads us to the road, where the path over Bork joins us from the right.
Continue straight ahead towards Golek and initially climb through the forest, but when you reach the edge of the hayfield, the path leads you to a shelter with benches and tables, located just below the summit. Continue along the edge of the forest, where a steep path joins us from the right and within a minute of further walking we reach the summit of Golek.
