Access to the starting point:
We drive to the parish church of St Anthony in Železniki, where we park in the marked asphalt parking lot between the church and the main road. The church is located a few 100 metres further from Domel, in the direction of Zale Log.
Path description:
From the parking lot, head towards the entrance to the church, and a little to the left of the church, you will see steps with a sign saying Anton's Kindergarten. Go up the stairs, and at the top of the stairs go right. We pass the nursery and a few houses on the left and follow the cart track to the crossroads by the hunting observatory.
From the crossroads go right (left along cart track, which also leads to Prtovč), and a little further on you will see the next marker. At the hayfield the path disappears completely, and we see the next marker on a tree a little higher up, from which we continue uphill, first along the edge of the forest, then through the forest, where the path reappears, and quickly reaches a slightly wider path. The ascent follows the above-mentioned path, which climbs quite steeply through the forest. Higher up, the path bends and leads to cart track, where it splits.
Continue right in the route Draboslovica (Droboslovica on some maps) and continue for some time on the folded and wide cart track.
When you reach Draboslovica, go around the house on the left and leave the cart track, which you are climbing, behind a nearby trestle and continue right on the marked cart track. Here the path is re-laid and leads around Draboslovski Hill (884 m). On the other side of the hill, step out of the woods, where the path leads along the right edge of the hayfields, and then, with occasional views of Ratitovec, we begin to descend gently. The way ahead leads to a macadam road, and after a few steps down to an asphalt road leading to the village Prtovč. We continue to climb the northern slopes of Štedel vrh (1145 m), and when we reach the ridge, we are joined on the left by the marked path from Jesenovec and the other paths from our starting point. After a short scenic walk, we reach the village Prtovč, where there is a church and a few houses.
Description and pictures refer to the situation in 2018 (May).
