Access to the starting point:
a) From the Gorenjska side, go via the Ljubelj border crossing to Klagenfurt or via Karawanks to Villach. Continue on the motorway in the direction of the signs for Graz / Graz. Leave the motorway after about 2 km through a tunnel in the direction of Bad St. Leonhard. Continue past the village of St. Peter and the small town of Obdach. We continue through Obdach to Judenburg. Follow the signs for Judenburg until you reach the centre of Judenburg. At the roundabout with a petrol station in the middle turn left towards Seetaler Alpe. Follow the road for 17 km and the signs for Winterleiten Hütte and park in the large parking lot before the road closure.
b) From Carinthia, first drive to Dravograd and then on to Austria. Follow the road to St. Paul, St. Andra and Wolfsberg. In Wolfsberg, head towards Bad St. Leonhard and on to St. Peter. Continue following the description from Gorenjska.
c) From the Styrian side, take the Maribor and continue to Austria via the Šentilj border crossing. Follow the motorway in the direction of Klagenfurt / Klagenfurt. Leave the motorway in the direction of the Bad St. Leonhard exit. Follow the description from Gorenjska.
d) Access from Austria. Continue to the southern part of the town, where you will see a hospital. Near the hospital, the mountain road to the Seetaler Alps branches off. The road is marked "Seetaler strasse". Follow the beautiful and initially asphalted road towards the Winterleiten Hütte. Park in the large parking lot before the road closure.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road, which is closed with a barrier. After a short climb along the road, you come out of the forest, where you see a lake in front of you and a hut to the right of it.

Dostop do izhodišča je napisan popolnoma konfuzno in zavajajoče in sicer od tukaj dalje:
""Nekaj kilometrov za tunelom pri Obdach-u nas cesta pripelje na krožišče, kjer se usmerimo na izvoz Judenburg. Cesta nas nato pripelje v predmestje Judenburg-a in takoj za tem na križišče, kjer zavijemo levo. Nato kmalu opazimo oznake za bolnico (levo), mimo katere se peljemo naprej. Naprej se peljemo po ozki cesti, ki nas pripelje do križišča pri manjši kapelici. Nadaljujemo levo in cesti naprej sledimo proti oznakam za Winterleiten Hütte. Parkiramo na večjem parkirišču pred zaporo ceste.""
Bolj enostavno in logično je opis naslednji:
Skozi Obdach (ne vem zakaj ga je sploh potrebno omenjat) nadaljujemo vožnjo do Judenburga. Vseskozi sledimo oznakam za Judenburg dokler se ne pripeljemo v center Judenburga. V krožišču, kjer je v sredini bencinska črpalka zavijemo levo smer Seetaler Alpe (nikjer ni nobenih oznak za Winterleiten Hutte). Sledimo cesti 17 km in oznakam za Winterleiten Hütte ter parkiramo na večjem parkirišču pred zaporo ceste.

Pozimi se je potrebno držati tega opisa, v letnih - kopnih razmerah pa je možno uporabiti krajšo varianto direktno iz Obdacha do koče (15km).
