Veliki Boč (Zgornji Kovač) - Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu

Access to the starting point:
a) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, after the road sign marking the beginning of the settlements Zgornja and Spodnja Selnica, turn right towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh. Continue along the Bistrica valley to the crossroads by the Zgornji Kovač homestead, where the road continues to the left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh, and to the right towards Žavcarjev vrh and the CŠOD Škorpijon home. Park in a suitable place near the crossroads.
b) From the road Dravograd - Maribor, at the end of the settlements Zgornja and Spodnja Selnica turn left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh. Continue along the Bistrica valley to the crossroads by the Zgornji Kovač homestead, where the road continues to the left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh, and to the right towards Žavcarjev vrh and the CŠOD Škorpijon. Park in a suitable place near the crossroads.

Path description:
From the starting point, take the road to the left in the route Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu (right Žavcarjev vrh), where you walk along the Bistrica River. After about 500 m, the footpath signs direct you to the left onto a minor road, from which you go slightly further left before the nearby house to cart track, which climbs along the Papeževa grapa stream. After a few minutes, cross the stream, then go slightly right on the slightly narrower and more overgrown cart track, which climbs along the stream for a while, then go right on cart track towards the Holy Spirit on Ostre Vrch. There is a cross-climb to the right, and at a marked fork in the tracks go left. Continue ascending cross-country to the left, and at two crossroads continue straight ahead. As you leave the woods, join the wider cart track, and turn left before the grazing fence, onto a track which climbs steeply alongside the grazing fence, and after a short climb reaches a road, which you follow to the right. When we reach the road, the path is completely laid out and we pass the Krenčnik homestead and reach the asphalt road with beautiful views.
Continue straight ahead, first climbing through the lane of a forest, and when you leave the forest the path is laid and leads you past individual farmhouses.
At the Sršen homestead, the marked path from Selnica ob Dravi joins us from the left, and at the Borovnik homestead the road starts to descend more visibly.
When the descent ends, we arrive in the village of Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu, from where we can already see the Church of the Holy Spirit, which is located on a hill above the village. Continue through the village, passing a few tourist farms, and when you reach the steps you will climb them past the parish to the aforementioned church, which is situated at 904 metres above sea level.
