Access to the starting point:
Tremerje is a settlement between Celje and Zidanim Most. From Celje, turn right and there are parking spaces near the signpost. In the opposite direction there is a bridge over the Savinja. From the route of Zidanega Most or Laško, turn left and there are parking spaces near the signpost. Also accessible by bus, stop Tremerje.
Path description:
From the parking area, head towards the centre of Tremerje, where the church of St Luke is probably the most important landmark. You can continue along the asphalt road to the turnoff for Veliki Slomnik, where the route is marked, or perhaps turn left a little lower down onto the well-trodden gravel road along the fields and meadows, pastures, which rejoins before the Tremerje crossroads or the turnoff for Veliki Slomnik. After the turnoff for Veliki Slomnik, follow the tarmac link for another two hundred metres to the former famous Tremerje underpass, which years ago was a "nerve-wracking" route - mainly due to flooding and a narrower passage.
A little before the underpass, continue alongside the farmstead, sharp right up the gravel track, solidly consolidated, and follow the road between the isolated farmsteads. There are fewer signs in this part, but there are direction signs and further on we change to a forest track, also partly logging trail, which we follow to the left, then to the right more concretely upwards. Re-join the dirt road, perhaps also a forest road, and turn sharp left, with the path from Liboj joining from the right. Follow the forest road and it rises pleasantly to an abandoned farmhouse, where you turn quite sharp right up through a courtyard and under another farmhouse, and at the weekend you come out on level ground to a crossroads.
Continue up again sharp left and the footing is very pleasant and finally a real mountain forest path. Follow the trail, the signposting in this part is excellent, the path is undulating and the ascent is not too strenuous. In this part the trail also leads over a peak without a name with a height of 861, then a short section through a meadow/pasture meadow and after a short section through the forest we are joined from the right by another mountain trail from Liboj. A few steps further, slightly downhill to the right and by a building under construction, contact with the path leading left to Malič. A few metres more to the building in ruins, also the crossroads of the trail, a little up through the forest and the goal of the trail is reached - Dom na Šmohorju.

od podvoza Tremerje do zadnje hiše in nad njo kapele ni treba po cesti ker je lepa gozdna pot po grebenu Malega Slomnika na desni strani potoka v smeri pohoda, se pravi pred ta zadnjo hišo desno na makadam in iz njega - ko zavije malo višje k eni hiši, se gre levo v gozd.
