Leave the Maribor-Graz-Salzburg motorway (A9) after a few short tunnels outside Graz and continue right on the expressway in the route Wien-Bruck/Muhr-Peggau.
Leave the expressway at the Mixnitz exit. Follow the roundabout to take the 2nd exit towards Teichalm. After about 13km, look out for the right turn-off in the route Teichalm.
Turn right and quickly gain altitude on the partly steep road. As we approach Teichalm, the road starts to descend. On the left-hand side you will see a parking lot with a descriptive sign "Rastplatz Heulantsch".
Park here.

Path description:
From the Heulantsch parking lot, follow the signs to the nearby mountain markers, cross the pasture fence and follow cart track upwards.
Go east along the pasture and cross another fence. Beyond the fence, a direction sign points steeply upwards.
At the top you come to a crossroads where a well-trodden track leads you to the right (to the left you come to a fence, past which there is no passage). From here you can see the cross at Heulantsch.
Along the fence, you will reach the top of Heulantsch in a few minutes.
The route is short and easy. It offers a magnificent view towards the Teichalm with the lake Teichalmsee and to the west the 1722m high Hochlantsch.
You can continue towards the "Stoahandhütte" hut and return on the other side to the starting point.
