Svečina - Čajžič

Access to the starting point:
Take the Pesnica roundabout and take the exit for Lenart. Leave the road to Lenart in Slovenske gorice quickly and continue right in the direction of Zgornja Kungota and Dolnja Pocehova, before entering the expressway take another right in the direction of Zgornja Kungota. Continue along the main road to Zgornja Kungota, where you turn right in the middle of the village in the direction of Plač and Svečina. A little further on, leave the road towards Plač and go left towards Svečina, and when you arrive in Svečina, park in a suitable place in the centre of the village.

Path description:
From the starting point, follow the path through the centre of the village, past the church and a little further on across the stream. After the stream, go left, and a little further on, left again. After the crossroads, gradually start climbing, and after a few minutes of cross-country climbing, go slightly left, and after a small pass, turn left onto a side dirt road, along which there are signs for the Leber vineyard. Continue along the above-mentioned road, and at the small pass go right on the marked cart track. There is some climbing on the cart track, and then the path lays down and leads us past a bench, which is situated in a nice viewpoint. A little further on, at a small crossroads, we continue straight on, and the path ahead leads us along a macadam road, passing between woods on the left and vineyards on the right. When the road turns right, go straight on to cart track, and follow cart track up to an asphalt road, which you follow to the left. Walk along the road for only a few more 10 steps and you will reach a bench and a registration box at Čajžič.
