Slovenska Bistrica (church of St. Jernej) - Sveta Marjeta (Ritoznoj) (by road)

Access to the starting point:
a) Motorway Maribor - Ljubljana: leave the motorway at exit Slovenska Bistrica - North and turn left in the direction of Slovenska Bistrica. At the next intersection turn left and go
up a small hill.
The road then descends down into the town. At the beginning of the plain, the first older buildings of the town can be seen on the left, followed by Alfonz Šarh Square on the right with the statue of the Mother of God on a pillar.
Turn right here and drive slightly uphill, where the Church of St Jerome is already visible. Behind the church there is a parking lot. Park there.

b) Ljubljana - Maribor motorway: leave the motorway at exit Slovenska Bistrica - south. You will come to a roundabout, which you will leave at the second exit. Soon you will reach another roundabout, which you will also leave at the second exit.
Continue straight on, you will come to a traffic lighted junction where you continue straight on. There are two more traffic lights, and keep straight on here. Cross a small bridge. Then we see Alfonz Šarh Square with the statue of the Mother of God on a pillar. Turn left here, where you can already see the Church of St Jerome. Go slightly uphill. Behind the church there is a parking lot. Park there.

Path description:
From the parking lot at St Jerome's Church, turn right along the path towards the cemetery. At the first crossroads, go right. You will see the cemetery and here turn left and go past the cemetery. Part of the path is slightly uphill. You will come to a crossroads where you turn left. Soon you will reach the main road Slovenska Bistrica - Šmartno na Pohorju. Here, continue to the right, towards Devina. The path leads slightly downhill, soon reaching a crossroads where a side road leads towards Šentovec. Join this road and continue straight through the village. Soon leave Devina, continue through a small forest straight along the main road.
When we come out of the forest, the village of Šentovec is in front of us and we have a beautiful view of St. Marjeta on the top of the hill.
Continue straight through the village. Soon we start to climb steeply. This road leads to the village Ritoznoj and the church of St. Marjeta.
