Access to the starting point:
First drive to Ilirska Bistrica, then continue to Border crossing Jelšane. After Jelšane, leave the main road towards Croatia and turn left towards Novokračine. After a drive of just over 1. 5 km on an asphalted and ascending road, you will come to a small pass where you will see signs for St. Katarina. From here we continue along the road, which starts to descend, and we follow it for another 500 m, then a forest road branches off to the right. Go straight ahead here, and then a few 10 m further on, at the beginning of a left-hand bend, park in a suitable place along the road.
Path description:
If you parked at the beginning of the left turn, follow the road back a little, then turn left (south to south-west) onto a dirt road, which will quickly take you to the nearby bee farm. A little further on, the road splits into three parts, and we continue along the middle one, which then leads us along the right-hand edge of a larger clearing. The road quickly returns to the forest, through which it climbs gently to moderately. Slightly higher up, another road branches off slightly to the left, and we continue slightly to the right, following the road as it gradually turns more and more to the right. The road continues to lead us across a slightly rockier world, from where we get some views. The fairly level path then turns even more to the right and joins the path from Jelšane at the cross (11th station of the Stations of the Cross) (the starting point Branček in the description).
Continue along the slightly wider road which leads slightly further out of the forest. A slightly more sloping and partly scenic path follows, which quickly leads to a hunting lodge.
From the hunting lodge, it is only a short climb up the road or along a nearby path and you reach the Chapel of St Catherine, which is located on the lookout point.

Na zemljevidu je označena Koča na Sv.Katarini,zraven je znak za prenočišča. Prosim, če mi kdo lahko pomaga, ali se da v koči prespati,ker načrtujem poleti večdnevno potepanje po teh krajih.Za odgovor se iskreno zahvaljujem.

Koča trenutno nima še možnosti prenočevanja, se pa dela na temu.
