Razkrižje - Razkriški kot (confluence of Mura and Ščavnica) (cultural and natural heritage trail)

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Pomurje motorway at exit Lipovci, then follow the road to Beltinci, where you turn right towards Bistrica and Ižakovce. At Srednja Bistrica, join the wider road and turn right towards Razkrižje. When you arrive in Razkrižje, turn left before the bridge over the river Ščavnica onto a gravel parking area for visitors to Razkriški kot and the blacksmith's museum.
b) Leave the Pomurje motorway at the exit for Turnišče, then follow the signs for Odranci and Črenšovci, then follow the signs for Ljutomer and Razkrižje. When you arrive in Razkrižje, before the bridge over the river Ščavnica, turn left into the gravel parking lot for visitors to Razkriški kot and the blacksmith museum.
c) Take the Ljutomer (to get here from Ptuj or from the Pomurje motorway, take the Vučja vas exit) and then follow the route to Razkrižje. At Razkrižje turn left towards Srednja Bistrica and Črenšovci, and just after the bridge over the river Ščavnica turn right into the gravel parking area for visitors to Razkriški kot and the Blacksmith's Museum.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the path towards Razkriški kot, where you initially walk along a macadam road that continues along the left bank of the river Ščavnica. After a few minutes, you will reach the nearby playground, where you will go right over a bridge to the nearby Ivan's Spring, then return to the left bank of the Ščavnica River and continue past the playground and then along a dirt track. A little further on, climb the embankment, then turn slightly right (not over the bridge) and continue along the path that continues along the river. When you reach the next bridge, go right over the bridge and a few steps after the bridge you will reach a crossroads.
Continue right uphill towards the prehistoric settlement, which is reached in two minutes.
From the settlement, follow the same path back to the last crossroads and then continue along the river, this time on the right bank. Continue along the river, passing a fenced park on the left a little further on. Walk along the river to the next marked crossroads, where another marker for a prehistoric settlement directs you to the right, on a path that ascends in a few minutes to another settlement.
From here we return to the path that runs along the river, and after the next bridge that crosses a tributary of the Ščavnica River, we go right towards the waterfall, and from the waterfall we go left towards the stream mill, and from there we go slightly left and soon we are back on the path that runs along the Ščavnica River.
When you reach the trail, turn right towards Razkriški kot, and follow the trail to the confluence of the Ščavnica and the Mura rivers.
You can either return along the path along the Ščavnica River, or take the Gibina - Šafarsko - Razkrižje road.
