Access to the starting point:
From Kočevje we continue towards Croatia and Border crossing Petrina. After about 15 km you will reach the village of Morava. At the end of the village turn right onto a macadam road. At the first turn-off continue straight on (farm on the right), at the next turn right and after about 2 km you will reach the end of the road and a turning point where you leave your car. You can also leave your car in Morava and walk along the forest road.
Path description:
From the turning point, follow logging trail, which climbs gently left up the slope. Logging trail is deeply cut into the surface. After about 500 m turn left down the slope to the ridge which appears on the left. Logging trail continues to and along the ridge. Soon logging trail branches off to the right towards the summit, which is quite steep. After about 50 m, a path branches off to the left along the ridge to the summit. The path is sloping and follows the ridge.
At the top we have a view of the whole former closed area, we can see Preža, Sadni hill, Morava, Nove Laze, Kočevsko Rijeka and all the way to Stojna, Velika gora, Goteniškje Snežnik and the hills above the Kolpa. On the other side, we can see the Kolpa valley, Kostel Castle, Banjo Loka,. . . below us is Ajbelj, which is a 10-minute steep descent.
