Marija Reka (Strgar Quarry) - Golava (Ovčja pot)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Celje motorway, take the Šentrupert (from Ljubljana) or Šempeter (from Celje) exit and continue in the direction of Prebold and Trbovlje. After Prebold, the road leads to the village of Marija Reka, where you continue along the stream. When you come out of the gorge, you will see the Strgar farm ahead of you, where the trailhead used to be in the past. We will park in a suitable place. There is a suitable place a little further from the farm and one a little in front of the farm. The trail starts at a bridge to the left of the road (to the right is the trail to Reška mountain pasture).

Path description:
At the end of a gorge, the path to Reška mountain pasture branches off to the right, and to the left across a meadow you will see a small bridge crossing a stream. Continue over the small bridge and then right up cart track. Follow cart track for a short distance, then leave it just after the first sharp bend and continue your ascent along the marked path, which climbs steeply through the forest. Higher up, we emerge from the forest onto a rather overgrown meadow, where the path leads us past a dilapidated building, after which we return to the forest. The path ahead leads through the lane brambles (God's wood), and higher up, under a short rocky slope. A little further on, we reach the Huš farm, where there is a marked crossroads.
Continue to the right in the direction of Mrzlica (Zvonetova pot na Golavo on the left) and follow the relatively slippery, initially macadam road. When the road becomes asphalted, it will lead to a left turn, at which you will see a cross and a marked crossroads.
Leave the road here and continue your ascent along the slightly overgrown cart track in the direction of Mrzlice. Higher up, you reach the farm Kočet, next to which there is a very loud dog. Above the farm, return to the forest (here a shortcut branches off to the left) and follow the marked path to a small pass, where there is a marked crossroads.
Continue in the direction of Golava and gradually cross over to the Ovčjo trail. The trail then quickly becomes very steep and climbs through the forest in many curves. On the most difficult part, there are steps and a rope ladder to help you. When the rope ends, we walk to a small clearing and then climb through the forest on a steep path to Blaž's bivouac on Golava.
